Visiting the Stone Factory in Indiana
Hello All!
My name is Jessica Berry and I have been painting model horses on a commission basis since 2008 (although admittedly the first few years did not see a lot of bookings). As my local customers know I am a SoCal resident so you may see me at a show if you are in the area. Like most of you I started as a collector and I quickly found a love for custom model horse artwork. I've painted more horses than I can remember but each time I get a new project started it is it's own unique challenge.
When I am not painting horses I am an accountant by trade (yes there are a few accountants with an artistic side). Keeping the books for my studio was the first real world accounting exposure I received and it suited me well enough to turn it into a career. Although accounting and art are not exactly synonyms, I believe that an eye for detail and problem-solving ties them both together.
Model horses are my primary artistic endeavor, but I also enjoy sketching, sewing, and occasionally oil painting. If you are interested, my "Other Art" page will highlight some of these other hobbies.
